Delegation from UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Visits CUFS

Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (CUFS) recently hosted a delegation of faculty members from Universitas Islam Negeri Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon (UINSSC), Indonesia’s state cyber university, as part of an official visit aimed at exploring best practices in online higher education.
The visit was arranged at the request of UINSSC, which sought to gain firsthand insight into CUFS’s online education model and digital learning infrastructure. On Thursday, November 28, Prof. Hj. Huriyah, Prof. Ria Yulia Gloria, and Prof. Lim Young-ho visited the CUFS campus, where they were welcomed by Kim ByongCheol, Acting President of CUFS and Won Jongmin, Dean of the Global Education Institute.
During the visit, the delegation toured CUFS’s key facilities, including its state-of-the-art Full-HD lecture production studios and the video-based classrooms located in CUFS20, the university’s second academic building. CUFS officials provided an overview of how online courses are designed, produced, and delivered, offering a detailed look at the operational framework of distance higher education in South Korea.
The UINSSC faculty showed strong interest in CUFS’s advanced content production capabilities and academic management systems. The visit also included a meeting with Indonesian students currently enrolled at CUFS, allowing the delegation to hear directly about their experiences studying in a fully online learning environment.

Won Jongmin, Dean of the Global Education Institute, noted that the visit marked an important opportunity for both institutions to exchange perspectives on the future of online education. He added that CUFS’s accumulated experience in digital learning has proven to be highly competitive on the international stage, and expressed hope that the two universities would continue discussions on concrete areas of collaboration, including joint content development and faculty and student exchanges.
CUFS plans to build on this visit by further expanding educational and cultural partnerships with universities and institutions overseas, including those in Indonesia.
