Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies(CUFS) Holds Student Exchange Program
with Tohoku Bunkyo College, Japan
— Fostering Meaningful Cultural Exchange Between Korean and Japanese Students

CUFS successfully held a student exchange program on March 17 (Tue) in collaboration with its partner institution, Tohoku Bunkyo College of Japan.

The program, jointly organized by the Global Education Institute and the Department of Japanese, featured on-campus exchange activities and a cultural visit to the National Museum of Korea. During the event, representatives from both universities delivered remarks, reaffirming their commitment to continued collaboration and the strengthening of ties between the two institutions.

As part of the program, students from both institutions gave presentations introducing their local cultures and communities. Students from Tohoku Bunkyo College offered insights into regional life in Japan with topics such as “Discover Yamagata” and “Learning the Yamagata Dialect.” CUFS students also introduced various aspects of Seoul through presentations titled “Welcome to Seoul, the Most Korean City” and “Would You Like to Take a Walk Together?”, both of which were well received by participants.

Following the presentations, students engaged in one-on-one conversations, providing an opportunity for more meaningful interaction. Participants also toured key campus facilities, including CUFS’s studio, gaining a closer look at the university’s learning environment. The program concluded with a visit to the National Museum of Korea, where students explored Korean history and culture through group activities.

A representative from the Global Education Institute and the Department of Japanese commented, “This program has strengthened our partnership with Tohoku Bunkyo College and laid a solid foundation for expanding future exchange opportunities. We will continue to develop programs that support language development and intercultural communication.”

Through this initiative, CUFS reaffirmed its commitment to fostering global engagement and providing students with meaningful international experiences.
