사이버한국외대, 글로벌 체험 지원 확대… 해외프로그램 참가 지원금 인상 (CUFS Enhances Student Welfare with 20% Increase in Overseas Program Support)

글로벌 역량 강화 위해 교육복지 넓힌다



사이버한국외국어대학교(총장 장지호)는 2025학년도부터 지급하는 주요 해외 교육 프로그램(단기어학연수, 해외문화탐방, 해외한국어교육실습) 의 학생 지원금을 20% 인상했다고 밝혔다.

국내 유일의 외국어 특성화 사이버대학인 사이버한국외대는 개교 이래 재학생들의 글로벌 감각을 키우기 위한 다양한 해외 체험형 교육프로그램을 지속적으로 운영해왔다. 해외문화탐방, 단기어학연수, 해외한국어교육실습 등 프로그램은 어학 능력을 향상시키고 글로벌 감수성을 제고할 기회일 뿐만 아니라 프로그램 참여 후 대학의 이수학점으로 인정받거나 소정의 지원금 혜택을 받을 수 있어 학생들의 만족도가 매우 높은, 대학의 대표적인 비교과 과정으로 자리잡은 바 있다. 이번 지원금 인상은 학생들이 보다 더 다양한 국가에서 폭넓은 경험을 할 수 있도록 실질적인 교육복지를 강화하려는 취지에서 마련됐다.
 
다가오는 하계방학에도 사이버한국외대는 다양한 국가에서 해외교육 프로그램의 진행할 계획이다. ▲프랑스 한국어교육 실습(한국어학부) ▲인도네시아 족자카르타 문화탐방(베트남·인도네시아학부) ▲일본 단기어학연수(일본어학부) ▲괌 단기어학연수(영어학부) ▲중국 시안(西安) 문화탐방(중국어학부) 등이 예정되어 있으며, 금년 여름부터의 해외교육 프로그램에 참여하는 학생들은 기존에 비해 20% 인상된 지원금을 받게 된다.
 
이번 지원금 확대와 관련해 원종민 사이버한국외대 글로벌교육원장은 “앞으로도 ‘창의적으로 미래를 선도하는 세계 시민 육성’이라는 교육 이념을 바탕으로, 학생 중심의 실질적인 교육 지원 확대와 국제화 교육 환경 조성에 지속적으로 힘쓸 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

 

CUFS Enhances Student Welfare with 20% Increase in Overseas Program Support

 
 

Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (CUFS), Korea’s only cyber university specializing in foreign languages, announced that it will increase financial support for its major overseas education programs by 20% starting from the 2025 academic year.
 

CUFS has continuously operated global experiential programs such as overseas cultural exploration, short-term language training, and Korean language teaching practicums. These programs are not only great opportunities to improve language skills and global awareness, but also allow students to earn academic credit.
 The 20% increase aims to help students gain broader experiences in more countries and to strengthen CUFS’s commitment to educational welfare.
 

For the upcoming summer vacation, CUFS is preparing several international programs:

  •    - Korean Language Teaching Practicum in France (Department of Korean)
       - Cultural Exploration in Xi’an, China (Department of Chinese)

  •    - Cultural Exploration in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (Department of Vietnam and Indonesia Studies)
       - Short-term Language Study in Guam (Department of English)

  •    - Short-term Language Study in Japan (Department of Japanese)

  •  

  • Students participating in these programs from this summer onward will receive the increased amount of financial support. CUFS hopes that by easing financial barriers, students will feel more empowered to explore different cultures, improve their language skills, and broaden their global perspectives.

 Won Jong-min, Dean of the Global Education Institute, stated, “This support increase reflects CUFS’s commitment to fostering creative global citizens. We will continue to expand international learning opportunities and enhance student-centered educational support.”
