On Saturday, August 31, at 11 a.m., Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (CUFS) held the 2024 Summer Graduation Ceremony in the main auditorium of the university’s Cyber Hall. The ceremony, hosted by Dean of Academic Affairs Hun-il Park, celebrated the graduation of 647 students, including 615 bachelor’s degree recipients and 32 master’s degree recipients. President Jiho Jang and the heads of each department personally congratulated the graduates, shaking hands with each student as they received their degrees. Graduates expressed their gratitude for the guidance they received throughout their studies, sharing joy and pride in their accomplishments.

In the afternoon, the orientation for new and transfer students for the Fall 2024 semester took place. The event opened with a welcoming speech by Admissions Dean Jong-bong Lee, followed by introductions between the new students and the faculty members of each department. President Jiho Jang delivered a message of encouragement, urging the new students to make the most of the university’s resources to develop a broader global perspective.

The orientation program continued with presentations on academic guidelines, online learning content, and university life, along with an introduction to the Student Council. Following the main event, new and transfer students attended department-specific orientations, where they had the opportunity to meet their professors and senior students, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community.

The Fall 2024 semester officially began on September 2.


사이버한국외국어대학교는 8월 31일(토) 11시, 대학 사이버관 대강당에서 2024년 후기 학위수여식을 개최했다. 사이버한국외대 박헌일 교학처장의 사회로 진행된 이날 학위수여식에서는 학사 615명, 석사 32명 등 총 647명이 학위를 받았다. 장지호 총장과 각 학부장들은 단상에 올라 졸업생 한 명 한 명과 악수를 하며 축하를 전했고 졸업생들도 그간의 지도에 감사를 표하며 기쁨을 나눴다. 

학위수여식에 이어 오후에는 2024학년도 2학기 신·편입생 오리엔테이션이 열렸다. 이종봉 입학처장의 개식사로 시작된 오리엔테이션에서는 각 학부 교수진과 신·편입생들의 첫 대면이 이뤄졌다. 장지호 총장은 환영사를 통해 입학생들에게 “대학이 제공하는 다양한 자원을 활용해 보다 넓은 시각을 가지는 글로벌 인재가 되기를 기대한다”는 성원의 메시지를 전했다.

이날 오리엔테이션은 신·편입생들의 대학생활 설계와 온라인 학습환경 적응에 도움이 될 학사·콘텐츠·대학생활 안내와 총학생회 소개 순으로 진행됐다. 이후 신·편입생들은 별도로 마련된 학부별 오리엔테이션에도 참석해 소속 학부 교수진, 선배들과 만나 친목과 화합을 다지는 시간을 가졌다.

사이버한국외대의 2024학년도 2학기 수업은 9월 2일부터 시작된다.
