From July 14 to July 20, CUFS successfully completed its overseas Korean language education practicum at Dong A University in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The Practicum Teaching Korean is a special program designed by CUFS to fulfill the educational goal of “training Korean language teachers by language region.” Since its inception in China in 2007, the program has expanded to various countries, including the United States, Thailand, Bulgaria, Japan, Russia, France, and Vietnam.

This year’s practicum was conducted with 95 students from Dong A University’s Department of Korean Language and Culture. Fifteen CUFS students led the week-long intensive program, consisting of three hours of Korean language classes in the morning and four hours of Korean culture activities in the afternoon.

The practicum participants had undergone five months of preparatory education in Korea, where they received in-depth feedback on their Korean language and culture teaching methods. Equipped with this training, they developed practical educational materials and communication-based teaching activities, which were met with great enthusiasm from the students at Dong A University.

The CUFS students who participated in the practicum were able to further develop their skills as future Korean language educators, while the Vietnamese students from Dong A University deepened their understanding of Korean culture and strengthened their Korean language proficiency. This mutual exchange is expected to foster further growth and collaboration between both institutions.

사이버한국외국어대학교가 지난 7월 14일(일)부터 20일(토)까지 베트남 다낭에 위치한 동아대학교에서 해외한국어교육실습 프로그램을 성공적으로 마쳤다.

사이버한국외대의 해외한국어교육실습은 '언어권별 한국어교사 양성'이라는 교육 목표를 실현하기 위해 마련된 특별한 교육 프로그램이다. 2007년 중국을 시작으로 미국, 태국, 불가리아, 일본, 러시아, 프랑스, 베트남 등 세계 각지에서 다년간 전개되어 왔다.

이번 해외한국어교육실습은 베트남 동아대학교 한국어문화학과 학생 95명을 대상으로 실시된 것으로, 사이버한국외대 재학생 15명이 일주일간 단기몰입식 교수 방법으로 오전 3시간의 한국어 수업과 오후 4시간의 한국 문화 체험으로 구성된 프로그램을 진행했다.

실습생들은 지난 5개월간의 국내 사전 교육을 통해 한국어 수업과 한국 문화 수업에 대한 밀도 있는 피드백을 받으며 실력을 다진 후 현지를 찾았다. 이들은 베트남 대학생들을 대상으로 하는 실제적인 교육자료를 개발하고 의사소통식 교수학습 활동을 구성하여 동아대학교 학생들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.

실습에 참여한 사이버한국외대 재학생들은 한국어교원으로서의 역량을 다지는 기회를 갖게 되었다. 또한 베트남 동아대학교 한국어문화학과 학생들은 한국 문화에 대한 이해를 넓히는 동시에 한국어 능력을 한층 강화하게 돼, 양측간 상호 협력을 통한 동반 성장의 열매를 거두게 될 것으로 기대된다.
