Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (CUFS) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with both Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). With these agreements, CUFS has now established partnerships with a total of 45 leading universities worldwide.

The MOUs mark the beginning of various academic exchange activities between CUFS and the two universities. Regarding the partnerships, Dr. Minwoo Lee, Dean of the Global Education Institute, stated, “We plan to foster more active academic collaboration by resuming direct interactions with institutions that we have long been exploring cooperation with through remote means. In addition to these newly signed MOUs, we are currently discussing concrete collaboration opportunities with many other international universities.”

As the cyber university with the largest number of international students in Korea, CUFS offers a wide range of foreign language majors, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Indonesian, as well as a Korean language major designed for foreign learners. The university actively engages in academic exchanges and collaborations with numerous partner institutions around the globe.


사이버한국외국어대학교는 최근 우즈베키스탄 세계언어대학교(Uzbekistan State World Languages), 인도네시아 교육대학교(Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia)와 각각 MOU를 체결했다. 이로써 사이버한국외대는 총 45개의 주요 해외대학과 협력을 체결하게 됐다.

사이버한국외대와 각 대학은 이번 MOU 체결을 계기로 다양한 학술교류 활동을 시작할 것을 합의하였다.

이와 관련해 이민우 글로벌교육원장은 “그동안 비대면으로 교류 협력 방안을 모색해 온 기관들과의 직접 접촉 재개를 통해 보다 적극적인 학술 상생을 도모할 계획”이라며, “금번 MOU 체결교 외에도 많은 해외 대학을 중심으로 구체적인 협력 방안을 논의 중”임을 전했다.

국내 사이버대학 중 가장 많은 수의 외국인 학습자를 보유하고 있는 사이버한국외대는 영어, 중국어, 일본어, 스페인어, 베트남어, 인도네시아어 등의 다양한 외국어 전공과 외국인을 위한 한국어 전공을 운영하며 여러 해외 대학과 협력 관계를 맺고 학술 교류를 활발히 진행하고 있다.
