The Department of Japanese Language at Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (President Jang Ji-ho) announced that they held an overseas cultural exploration program in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, from January 9th (Thursday) to January 13th (Monday), and the final report meeting was held on January 20th (Monday).
 

Miyazaki is a historic region located in the southern part of Kyushu, Japan. It is home to many historical sites and festivals based on various myths, earning it the nickname "City of Myths." The 20 students who participated in the exploration had the opportunity to experience the diverse aspects of Miyazaki over a 5-day period. Under the guidance of Professor Yoon Ho-sook, the head of the Department of Japanese Language at Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, the group visited notable sites such as the Miyazaki General Museum, Miyazaki Shrine, Obi, Udo Shrine, Goblin Washing Board, and Aoshima.
 

One student who participated in the exploration shared, "It was a meaningful time to experience Japan's history and culture firsthand. It was even more enriching because I was able to confirm the contents discussed in the special lecture, 'Miyazaki: The Village of Myths and History,' which I attended while preparing for the cultural exploration at the end of last year."
 

The Department of Japanese Language at Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, encouraged by the students' support, held an online cultural exploration report meeting on January 20th. During this session, not only the exploration group but also individuals interested in Japan's culture and history shared the insights they gained through the program.
 

The department offers practical educational programs such as business track, translation and interpretation track, graduate school track, and Japanese study abroad track. It also provides opportunities for obtaining practical qualifications like Japanese Translator Certification, Japanese Language Instructor Completion Certificate, and Japanese Employment Master Completion Certificate. In addition, it organizes overseas cultural explorations, various on-campus lectures and experiential programs, as well as short-term language study abroad programs and exchange student systems at prestigious Japanese universities for those wishing to deeply learn and experience Japan’s culture.
 

Meanwhile, Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies will recruit new and transfer students for the first semester of the 2025 academic year from February 3rd (Monday) to February 17th (Monday). 사이버한국외국어대학교(총장 장지호) 일본어학부는 지난 1월 9일(목)에서 13일(월)까지 일본 미야자키현(宮崎県)에서 해외문화탐방을 진행하고 해당 탐방에 대한 보고회를 1월 20일(월) 성료했다고 밝혔다. 

미야자키는 일본 규슈 남쪽에 위치한 유서 깊은 고장으로, 역사적 장소가 많이 남아 있으며 수많은 신화에서 유래한 축제 또한 열려 ‘신화의 도시’라고 불린다. 탐방에 참여한 20여명의 학생들은 4박 5일이라는 기간 동안 미야자키의 이모저모를 다양하게 체험할 수 있었다. 탐방단은 사이버한국외대 일본어학부장 윤호숙 교수의 인솔 하에 미야자키 종합 박물관, 미야자키 신사, 오비, 우도신궁, 도깨비빨래판, 아오시마 등 명소를 빠짐없이 방문하고 탐방했다. 

탐방에 참가한 한 학생은 “일본의 역사와 문화를 몸소 체험하는 의미있는 시간이었다”라며 “특히 지난해 말 문화탐방을 준비하며 참석했던 특강 <신화와 역사의 마을 미야자키>에서 다룬 내용을 확인할 수 있어 더욱 알차게 느껴졌다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 사이버한국외대 일본어학부는 학생들의 성원에 힘입어 1월 20일(월) 온라인 문화탐방 보고회를 열고, 탐방단은 물론 일본의 문화와 역사에 관심이 있는 이들과 탐방을 통한 배움을 공유하는 시간을 가지기도 했다. 

사이버한국외대 일본어학부는 비즈니스 트랙, 통번역 트랙, 대학원 트랙, 일본 유학 트랙을 운영하고 있으며, 일본어 번역사 자격증 및 일본어 지도사 수료증, 일본 취업 마스터 수료증 등의 실용적인 교육과정을 제공한다. 또한 일본의 문화를 깊이 있게 배우고 경험할 수 있는 해외문화탐방과 다양한 교내 특강 및 체험 프로그램, 일본 명문대학에서의 수학 기회를 제공하는 단기어학연수와 교환학생 제도 또한 시행하고 있다.
